I completed my Servent Leadership Project at the Church Hill Free Clinic and at West View Baptist Church. At the clinic I helped provided nursing services, which included diabetic education and instruction on the use of diabetic meters and supplies. I also helped triage patients and assisted providers with examinations. At West View Baptist Church I helped with the AWANA program. West View Baptist has a bus ministry that serves children living in low-income public housing projects. Throughout this project I had the opportunity to meet some amazing people and to share God's love for them. I taught five year olds about God's Word and his plan for them. They taught me how to see God through the eyes of a child. I was able to help provide medical care to uninsured indigent people in my community. I learned that I have a love for sharing my passion for nursing and my skills with people who would otherwise go without medical treatment.
